Why Get Pre-Approved?
1. These days most sellers will NOT accept an offer without at least a pre-approval letter, so if you are serious about buying this is the first step towards getting you in your new home.
2. During the Pre-Approval process, the lender will review your credit, income and assets and provide you with an estimate of how much you can get approval for.
3. While a "pre-approval" is non-binding to the lender, it does give the seller assurance of your overall general creditworthiness and shows them that you have taken the necessary steps to purchase their home.
